The Western Virginia Water Authority says the water main break has been fixed, and Grandin Road is back open.
The Western Virginia Water Authority says a 12-inch water main has ruptured in SW Roanoke, on Grandin Road, at the intersection of Grandin & Carlton.
Repairs expected by to be finished this afternoon.
Spokeswoman Sarah Baumgardner tells WSLS the break took place around 8:30 a.m. WVWA crews located where on Grandin Road the break took place by 8:35 a.m.
Grandin Road is closed between Carlton and Guilford, while Water Authority crews fix the break. Baumgardner expects repairs to be finished by this afternoon.
