Wake County added another high school Tuesday as Rolesville High officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
"After today's ceremony, we are going to be in high gear," principal Ericka Lucas told parents in a message on the school website. "Continue to look at the site for an announcement about Open House, and I will also be sending a phone announcement to all of our families."
Lucas had been the principal of East Wake School of Arts, Education and Global Schools before getting the Rolesville position.
The school, located at 1099 East Young St., becomes the 21st traditional high school in Wake County as the system continues to boom with more and more people moving to the county.
The school's motto is, "Every Child – Every Day, whatever it takes."
The nickname will be the Rams.
