RALEIGH, N.C. -

A bill that includes language to allow fracking in North Carolina was on the calendar for consideration Thursday night but will not be passed in this session of the General Assembly.

Inserted into Senate Bill 127 is language that would allow fracking by July 1, 2015, according to a copy of the bill on the North Carolina General Assembly website.

Senate Bill 127 was on the supplemental calendar sent out Thursday evening but was later withdrawn from the calendar, according to the Senate calendar.

The bill would need to pass three readings in the House and Senate before going to Gov. Pat McCrory, but the bill is not expected to have time to pass by the time the legislature adjourns for good Friday.
