DURHAM, N.C. -

Investigators with the Durham Sheriff's Office raided a man's home finding drugs, a stolen firearm, body armor and more.

Members of the Sheriff's Anti-Crime and Narcotics Unit determined Bobby Edgerton, Jr., 29, of 821 Riverbark Lane was selling marijuana and cocaine from his residence after an investigation, authorities said.

On Thursday, authorities executed a search warrant on Edgerton's home, seizing three ounces of crack cocaine, five ounces of marijuana, a stolen .380 semi-automatic pistol, a military-grade ballistic vest, and numerous types of drug paraphernalia including scales and plastic bags. Durham authorities said investigators also seized $89 in cash and Edgerton's vehicle, a 2003 Hyundai Elantra.

"The removal of people from the streets of Durham who distribute illegal drugs is of utmost priority. There are people in this community who believe their illegal activity goes unnoticed by law enforcement, but they're wrong—we will find you," Sheriff Mike Andrews said.

Edgerton is being held in the Durham County Jail under a $2.5 million bond.

Edgerton has been charged with:

  • Two counts trafficking cocaine
