GILES COUNTY -

According to Virginia State Police... a woman is dead after a single car accident in Giles County Saturday.

26-year-old VaVa Anne Ramsey's car hit a tree when she ran off the road on Route 42 around 4:00 p.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No word yet on the cause of the accident -- but State Trooper Reynolds says weather was not a factor.

An investigation continues.
