Angels of Assisi Adopting Out Pets at Pound

Posted: Updated:

Roanoke, VA - The month of July was Angel of Assisi's biggest month ever, adopting out more than 160 pets.

What made July so popular?

Angels started a new program with the RCACP, allowing people to adopt animals directly from the pound.

Volunteers stationed at the pound have been able to find homes for 26 pets. Ten pets from the pound have also been placed in foster care since the program began.

Any pet that is adopted through the program is guaranteed to never go back to the pound, even if the adopting family can no longer take care of the animal.

RCACP hopes to have their own adoption program in place by September.
