VDOT reports all lanes on Route 220 are now back open.

Crews are working to clean up the accident.

WSLS 10's Katie Love reports rescue crews believe the man and woman who are hurt, are expected to recover.

11:37 a.m.

Traffic is at a complete stop on Route 220 heading towards Boones Mill due to a vehicle accident.

WSLS 10's Katie Love is on the scene.

She reports rescue crews pulled a man and a woman out of a green car, that flipped on its side. EMTs put them on stretchers. Both are alive and moving.

Crews had to cut the top part of the roof of the car to get them out.
