A former Hokie is using his love of storytelling to make a difference in a country that has one of the highest murder rates in the world.
Chris Valdes is co-producing a documentary on the violence in Honduras.
He says it's an issue that hasn't received a lot of media attention.
He was inspired to start the project after living there for a couple years and see the impact of drugs passing through the county on the way to the United States have.
Jeff Consiglio the Virginia Tech alumnus who won an Oscar at the Academy Awards this past February for his documentary is helping Valdes on the project.
