2 Virginia Tech students arrested in Blacksburg break-in attack case

BLACKSBURG, VA -

Blacksburg Police say two Virginia Tech students faces charges, after an attack during a break-in early Thursday.

According to Lieutenant J.d. Robinson, police got a call at 2:58 a.m. from a home in the 1300 block of Giles Road for a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they found a man had been attacked.  EMTs took the man to LewisGale Hospital at Montgomery for treatment.  He has since been released.

Officers say their investigation led to two suspect: Brandon M. Gravett and Maxim Girshevitsky, both of Blacksburg, and listed as Virginia Tech students.

Lt. Robinson says investigators found and arrested both men not long after receiving the call about the burglary.

Both men are being held at the Montgomery County Jail without bond, on charges of malicious wounding and burglary.
