Deputies say 45-year-old Michael Wayne Kidd, of Bedford, was arrested in San Diego, California for crossing the street against a traffic light on May 5th.  Later, San Diego investigators learned Kidd was wanted in Bedford County.

Bedford County investigators believe on February 23rd, Kidd stole wallets from two women attending a wedding at the Faith Life Baptist Church in Montvale.

Officers brought Kidd back to Bedford County on Wednesday, July 31st.  He faces the following charges:

  • Grand larceny
  • Fraud by credit card
  • Theft of credit cards (6 counts)

Kidd is being held without bond.
