If you think tens of thousands of people are here to see the Washington Redskins run through some of their plays, you're wrong.

There about 100 Redskins players in camp right now. But the most coveted "get" is an autograph from one player. RGIII, Robert Griffin III, the Redskins uber-quarterback.

MELANIE WYMAN/AUTOGRAPH SEEKER: Carlin: "Why are you here today? Melanie: To see RGIII and get his autograph."

RJ BANKS/AUTOGRAPH SEEKER: "Carlin: Which autograph would you most like to get today? Banks: "RGIII, Carlin: Why is that? Banks: He's the best player on the team."

Carter Aines/Autograph Seeker: Carlin: So really the one autograph you want to get is: Aines: RG3. Doesn't everybody though?"

Even a member of Richmond's City Council wants one.

Reba Trammell/Richmond City Council Member: "Carlin: Are you here to present an official ball to RG3 or trying to get him to sign? Trammell: Get him to sign."

Take Jonathan HIRSCH, a VCU graduate and artist. "I painted this mural in my studio about a mile from here. Carlin: What is your goal? Hirsch: To get him to sign it and I want to hang it in my house. Carlin: What are your chances? Hirsch: 80-90 percent.

The problem is that thousands of other people want the same thing. And they are willing to wait until after practice hoping RGIII with his newly reconstructed knee and comparisons to superman, will come by with his Sharpie.

MELANIE WYMAN: " I would die inside. I could tell all my friends at orientation that I met him. It would be amazing."

Griffin to his credit, understands that for now he IS the franchise. And he spends at least an hour after practice this day signing away.

First on the sidelines and then for Jonathan's group, waiting closer to the clubhouse. He goes directly to the beautiful banner.

Hirsch is elated. "I just got RGIII's autograph on my painting. It's incredible. One of the better days I've had in a long, long time," he said.

It's safe to say, that come the regular season it will be about RGIII's knee, arm and QB rating. But at training camp, it's all about what he does with his pen.
