A Giles County company has been selected as a recipient for a grant by the EPA.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced that they are awarding more than $2 million in contracts to seven small businesses, including one in Giles County, to develop sustainable technologies that will help protect human health and the environment.
NanoSonic in Pembroke has been selected as one of those companies to receive contracts for up to $300,000, following a competitive peer-review process.
It's all a part of the EPA's Small Business Innovation Research program, which has been in place for 30 years.
