Virginia delegate partners with Wal-Mart for school supply

LYNCHBURG, VA -

Saturday, August 4-th, Delegate T. Scott Garrett, M.D. will work with local Wal-Mart stores to collect school supplies from shoppers for area public schools.

Delegate Garrett and community volunteers will be at the Wal-Mart in Madison Heights, Wards Road and Old Forest Road in Lynchburg.

 Members of the public are encouraged to purchase supplies during their shopping trip and place them in bins located outside of the store. This weekend is also Virginia's "School Supplies and Clothing Sales Tax Holiday."

 Delegate T. Scott Garrett, M.D. represents the 23rd District in the Virginia General Assembly, which includes portions of Amherst County, Bedford County, and the City of Lynchburg.
