Roanoke County will announce a major economic development deal at the Roanoke County Administration Center at 11:30. County officials say the news is related to its joint Economic Summit with other localities.

Gubernatorial Candidates Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe will appear at a jobs summit in Norfolk today. Hosted by Tidewater Community College, the candidates are expected to share their job platforms and plans for the future.

The jury will begin deliberations in the James "Whitey" Bulger racketeering trial after getting its instructions around nine this morning. Bulger is charged with participating in 19 murders during the 1970s and '80s while he allegedly led the Winter Hill Gang.

Detroit's unusual Mayoral Primary Election is today. Seven of nine council candidates will be elected by district and a large mayoral write-in vote is expected. Whoever prevails in November will be powerless until the city's emergency manager finishes navigating the city through its bankruptcy.
