A clarification on a story we had back on Tuesday, August 6th, about Ardagh.
Ardagh is the European based company that will make an eight-figure investment in Roanoke County.
The company plans to hire about 100 people to help make aluminum cans.
Originally, we mistakenly reported Ardagh filed bankruptcy in 2006.
It turns out, federal court papers show, a company named Anchor Glass, which Ardagh bought last year, was the one that filed bankruptcy, three times in fact between 1996 and 2006.
The Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint against Ardagh last month after the company announced a planned merger with a competitor with its U.S. operations based in Indiana, court documents show.
