Kate McIntyre has been saved twice by CPR after she went into cardiac arrest and died both times.
Now, her goal is to make a difference by getting people throughout our area to become certified in CPR.
She makes appearances at events like the Go Red for Women Luncheon.
She sees her heart experiences and time spent in the hospital as a blessing and just something she had to go through to help others.
"I am able to be who I am today emotionally, physically, I can go back to work and I can take my kids hiking because of the CPR that saved me and that's always been our biggest goal, I mean, the American Heart Association uses me as much as they can and I'm always like whatever you need I am there," Kate explained.
Kate doesn't look like the typical heart patient and that might be her biggest point yet - cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, so be ready to help.
