Franklin County Looks For Rebound Season

Posted: Updated:

We are all aware of the injury bug--The Eagles were infested last year. Coach Chris Jones and Franklin County suffered so many injuries they found themselves re-inventing themselves week to week. Suddenly the perennial Western Valley District power was struggling to reach a 500 season.

Coach Jones and his Eagles have logged plenty of accomplishments in recent seasons, including the school's first playoff win--and the first home playoff game--and win--in Rocky Mount. So last year's 4-6 season didn't sit well with anybody. The team responded with a huge off season push that was led by nearly two dozen seniors--all committed to the tradition that Coach Jones has brought to the program--playoff appearances, and wins.

Franklin County scrimmages EC Glass on Friday before opening up with the Salem Spartans on the 30th of August.
