NELSON COUNTY, VA -

UPDATE {11:15 P.M.} -- We've now learned the FBI has recovered several cell phones during their search for Alexis Murphy.

At this time, they say they haven't positively identified if one of those phones belongs to Alexis and they won't say where investigators found the phones.

Investigators also tell us the FBI has closed it's command center in Lovingston.

Randy Taylor's court appointed attorney, Michael Hallahan, talks to WSLS today.

Hallahan says since he first spoke out last night to the media about Taylor's side of the story, he's been flooded with calls.

His hope was to find the mid- to late 20's male, Taylor says was with 17-year-old Alexis Murphy before she went missing.

Hallahan believes he has now found that man and is notifying authorities.

Taylor claims he met Murphy at the Liberty gas station off of Route 29, on August 3rd, the day she went missing. He admits to talking her, but says he has nothing to do with her disappearance.

Taylor says he asked the Nelson County teen where he could buy marijuana. He says she said she knew a man and the three drove separately to his home on route 29. He then says he bought $60 of marijuana from this third person. He then smoked the drug with the man, not Murphy, and the man and Murphy left together.

Taylor claims investigators say they have evidence of Murphy's DNA on a her hair found in his camper. He believes that is not enough to hold him without bond.

His attorney says he has asked for a bond hearing on August 22 in Nelson County. He says January is a long time to wait for a preliminary hearing.
