ROANOKE, VA -

Roanoke Parks and Recreation is hosting a unique way to get outside, enjoy a bike tour of the star city and some of its favorite foodie spots.

Today is the last day to register for Le Tour de Roanoke." The five mile tour will take you through Roanoke beginning and ending at Underdog Bikes. Along the way, cyclists and their guide will stop at three local restaurants for appetizers, an entrée and dessert. Participating restaurants include Fork in the Alley, Wasena tap Room and Wildflour Restaurant and Bakery. "This idea was really to cater to people who like getting outside and doing stuff but also to people who really like eating out and having some good beverages too," said Roanoke Parks and Recreation's Patrick Boas.

The cost is $25 which includes your guide and food selections. If you don't have your own bike or helmet, you can rent one at Underdog Bikes at a discounted price.

You have until the end of the Friday to register. There is a wait list right now but organizers say more spots will be added.
