New East Mont Coach Brings New Schemes

Posted: Updated:

Replacing the architect of the "Air-Mustangs offense that took Eastern Montgomery to the state title game is no easy task.  The Mustangs administration went about finding someone that fit. They wanted someone who understands how a small school works.  They found that person in Brian Lee.  East Mont welcomes its new head coach from Thomas Walker High  in Lee county.  Coach Lee has installed a new jet sweep offense to place the spread that Mark Poston ran when the Mustangs reached the state title game. He's also installing a new defensive scheme with a new coaching staff. For now..there is a lot of teaching going on--and how quickly the Mustangs pick it all up--might ultimately decide how the season ends up. They open the year by hosting Bath Co. on August 30th.
