Lynchburg police investigate shooting

Lynchburg police continues to investigate a shooting at the 500 block of Chambers Street.

Officers responded to the area around 10:51 p.m. Wednesday, August 22nd.

While the officers were on the scene, the officers were advised by a Lynchburg Communications Dispatcher that a male victim from the shooting had just arrived at Lynchburg General Hospital.

The male victim was a juvenile, and was given a ride to the hospital by an unknown person.  He reported that he didn't see the suspect, or suspects that shot him.

The juvenile was treated by Lynchburg General Hospital for a non-life threatening injury.

It is unclear at this time if the juvenile was the target of the shooting.
