A traffic alert right now and another in just a few hours. Traffic is being detoured on southbound I-81 in Montgomery County until six o-clock this morning. You'll be detoured at the Dixie Caverns, Exit 132 onto Route 460 and back on 81 in Christiansburg.

Then at 10:30 this morning, blasting is back in that same area. State Police will slow traffic both north and southbound to keep the area around the blast site at mile marker 124 clear.

Jodi Arias is expected in court in Phoenix today, at a hearing intended to decide the next phase of her trial. Prosecutors have to decide if they want a new penalty phase, with a new jury, or if they'll settle for life in prison since jurors could not agree on punishment.

The Army psychiatrist convicted of the Fort Hood rampage that killed 13 people begins the sentencing phase of his trial today. Major Nidal Hasan faces a possible death sentence or at the minimum, the 42-year-old will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The city of Danville will break ground on its new JTI Fountain this morning at 10:00. The fountain will be the focal point of a pedestrian plaza under construction now.

There's a ribbon cutting this morning for the new "Warrior Tech" STEM Academy at Henry County's Magna Vista High School. It's at 9:00.
