Our WSLS 10 All-stars put forth a good effort over the weekend in the first Salvation Army media charity softball game.
Salvation Army leaders say they could not be more pleased with how this turned out.
In fact, they're already looking at next year.
More than 650 people packed into the stands at Salem Memorial Stadium to cheer on their favorite news team.
Organizers didn't charge a fee to get it, but did encouraged donations in the red kettles.
We're told fans gave more than $3,200 and organizers say more donations are still coming in and expect that total to top more than $4,000.
