Fake gun confiscated at Roanoke Regional Airport

ROANOKE, VA -

TSA officers stopped a man Sunday August 25th, at 10 a.m., at the Roanoke Regional Airport.

This was after the officer working the checkpoint x-ray machine detected a gun in the man's carry-on bag.

Upon investigation, The Roanoke Regional Airport Police Department found that it was an airsoft gun.

This did not impact airport operations.

The man was allowed to continue on the flight.

The airport wants to remind travelers that weapons, including replica guns, are not permitted on carry-on bags.

Travelers can be find up to $11,00 if caught with a prohibited item.
