ROANOKE, VA -

A local bake shop is taking its sweets on the road today.

Bubblecake has driven right into the food truck business with its new bake shop on wheels. The truck will be officially rolled out for business starting this afternoon.

They'll go on location to just about anywhere across our area particularly spots where there isn't currently an actual store. Right now there are two locations in Roanoke A third will open in Christiansburg in the coming week.

You'll see the big white truck with its pink cupcake at festivals and you can even call for an appearance at your own parties. "It enables us to take it pretty much anywhere we can and it's fun," said Bubblecake owner Rob Lusk. "It's just a lot of fun to see people and they see the truck. It lights up just like the old ice cream truck when I was a kid. It's just fun so we want to bring that to as many people as we can."

Lusk and his wife Lisa announced today the wining name chosen after a call for entries on Facebook: Sugarcube.

Sugarcube will be parked--- weather permitting-- outside the future Hometown Bank location on Main Street in Salem from noon to 3:00 p.m. today and tonight at City Market at the River" at River's Edge in Roanoke. You can always check Facebook for updates if the weather doesn't cooperate.
