Announcement today on future of Roanoke's Explore Park

ROANOKE COUNTY -

An announcement will be made today involving the future of Explore Park in Roanoke.

Officials with the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors say the announcement will have a big impact on the recreational landscape in the Roanoke Valley, and set the groundwork for future recreation and economic growth in Southwest Virginia.

Details will be presented outlining a long-term agreement regarding the use of the property.

Chairmen with the Virginia Recreational Facilities Authority and THE Roanoke County Board of Supervisors will be making the announcement today at 10:00 a.m. at Explore Park's Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center.
