Posted: Updated:

There couldn't be many baseball teams hotter than the Salem Red Sox right now. They got a 4 RBI effort from Mookie Betts in defeating Lynchburg 4-3 in the final game of the regular season. The Red Sox finished on a six game win streak, winners of 11 of 12, 16 of their last 19, and a staggering 25-8 mark since July 30th.

Betts is on a .418 tear over the last 52 games, helping the Sox to a final regular season record of 76-64, including a 43-27 mark which is the best in the Carolina League since the All-Star break.

Game one of the Southern Division Championship begins at 7:05 Wednesday night in Salem with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
