Phil prepares meals for patients, employees at Rex Hospital

Posted: Updated:
RALEIGH, N.C. -

It takes and entire team to keep a hospital running, including the kitchen staff that provides meals to thousands of patients and employees.

For this installment of "Phil Fills In", Phil trades in his suit once again for an apron and hat to work in the kitchen at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

The kitchen is always busy preparing meals. To help the staff, Phil begins making meals by cutting fresh vegetables. Rex's head Chef Jim McGrody shows Phil how it's done.

"We don't use a lot of canned food here, we use all fresh vegetables," said McGrody.

After the meal are ready it's time to deliver them to different wards of the hospital, including the Maternity unit.
