Today marks the first ever MedExpress Kidz Day in the Star City. Local MedExpress offices teamed up with the Roanoke City Library on Williamson Rd. and Star City Reads to put on the event.
It was a chance for local families to come have fun, while also learning more about how to be healthy and helping others in the community.
"we want to promote healthy lifestyles," says a MedExpress center manager, Stephanie Reynolds. "How important it is to get involved in library and support literacy. Every child should know what it is to have a book and come to the library so that was very important to us today."
All proceeds from the event go to Star City Reads to help support literacy in our area.
