The Virginia Tech football team and Corps of Cadets continue a tradition after 10 years.

For the last decade, a Cadet has been chosen to accept the American Flag after players run onto the field at Lane Stadium.

In 2009, Cadets started traveling to away football games with the team to continue the tradition.

Junior Andrew George was selected to travel with the team to the East Carolina game this weekend. George says he is looking forward to getting to know the Hokies and is humbled by the honor.

"This is an opportunity that you always here about, you see people doing it and I guess when you work hard and you work with your people and your people help you out, it pays off and the rewards come," said George.
