Olde Salem Days continues to grow every year

SALEM -

Olde Salem Days keeps growing every year, and it's expected about 50 to 60,000 of people will be here for the weekend.

Its been a tradition for the past 32 years with more than 400 vendors, exhibitors, and entertainers here. Another event happening in Salem is homecoming. Main Street will be closed starting at 5:15 for the parade. Homecoming is a bit earlier since Salem High School doesn't have any home games in October.

It's a weekend many people are looking forward to with several events throughout Friday and Saturday.

"It's a huge draw from friends out of state that come every year and I think they just like to see the mix of crafts and see what's new and Salem is just a great place to spend the day," says Jane Johnson, R. M. Johnson & Sons Jewelers.
