Posted: Updated:

The 'Roanoke Strollathon' broke it's personal record Saturday.

The organization raised more money than ever before for the International Rett Syndrome Foundation.

Paper angels line the Roanoke Greenway thanks to the event at Wasena Park. The angels represent girls in Virginia who have Rett Syndrome, which is unique development disorder.

Event organizers say from donations and the silent auction, they raised more than $37,5000.

They money will help with research and finding a cure, which organizers say researchers are close to doing.
