Construction at Brandon Oaks Rehabilitation Center Begins Today

Virginia Lutheran Homes is expanding it's Brandon Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

     The $7.9 million dollar project will add a three story building to the property.

     The new facility will have 25 private care rooms, a gym, and a cafeteria.

     Facility administrator, Lucas Snipes, estimates anywhere from 14 to 20 jobs will be added as a result of the expansion.

      The building was designed using input from both patients and nurses.

     The  ground breaking ceremony will take place at 11:30am.

    Both Mayor David Bowers and Senator John Edwards will speak at the event.
