The latest food craze will roll into Christiansburg tonight for the Food Truck Rodeo.
It's the last event in the town's Get Down Downtown series which gives families in Christiansburg and surrounding areas family-friendly events to enjoy. It's also Downtown Christiansburg Inc.'s way to draw people back to the heart of the town.
Tonight, the focus will be food trucks. The town's newest food truck, Toasted by Casey as well as trucks from Blacksburg and Roanoke will take their fast food on wheels to give this area a taste of the growing trend. "We were just like we should just gather them all up and have our won food truck rodeo," said Downtown Roanoke Inc.'s Christina O'Connor. "It will be fun, something different that this area hasn't seen before."
The Food Truck Rodeo is tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. on West Main Street.
There will be live music and drinks from Parkway Brewing Company as well as Beliveau Estate and Attimo Wineries.
