History Channel's 'American Pickers' coming back to Virginia

ROANOKE, VA -

Two of cable television's most well known back-roads travelers plan to come back to Virginia.

The History Channel show 'American Pickers' put out a call to the Commonwealth this month, looking for people with unique and valuable antiques.

The show visited Pittsylvania County in 2011, and made purchases from some folks.  The episode debuted on January 23, 2012.

The History Channel series "American Pickers" is coming to film in Virginia this November and they are looking for interesting local characters with interesting items, to be featured on the show.

The show follows two skilled pickers, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, as they travel all over the country looking for the most unique and valuable antique finds – treasures that have been long forgotten in junkyards and barns across the country.

Mike and Frank are currently looking for movie and music memorabilia, sports memorabilia, western items, and basically any other oddball, one-of-a-kind, or interesting historical item you can think of. The show does not go to shops, antiques malls, or flea markets, and is not currently looking for any fine furniture, agricultural or farming items/equipment, depression glass, or pottery.
