Williamson Road in Roanoke is looking to become known for its restaurants.
The Williamson Road Area Business Association is organizing its first Restaurant Week, which begins Monday and runs through the entire week.
13 restaurants will be part of the first time event, offering a variety of specials.
While eating is clearly the focus, the goal is to get people to re-discover all this seven mile stretch has to offer.
"We want other people to come here, look around and see what's available here for them to partake in and come and shop on Williamson Road," said Wendy Jones, the Executive Director of the Williamson Road Area Business Association. "It's a two for one. We get the restaurants focused on and we get the other businesses exposed."
Later today you can see a list of the restaurants participating, menus, and specials by clicking here.
