Head-on collision in Greene County kills driver, closes part of Highway 107

GREENE COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

Investigators are on the scene of a fatal crash in Greene County, TN. The accident happened along the Highway 107 cutoff between Herman Circle and Highway 107. 

Two vehicles, a dump truck and a Volkswagen Golf, traveling in opposite directions on Highway 107 struck head-on.

The driver of the VW was killed.

It's not known at this time, which vehicle crossed the center line. A Critical Incident Response Team is investigating along with the THP. 

Meanwhile, the road is closed. News Channel 11 was told the road will remain closed for a couple of hours.
