LewisGale Regional Health System announces new president

Posted: Updated:

LewisGale Regional Health System has named Jon Bartlett the Market President of LGRHS and CEO of LewisGale Medical Center, effective October 31.

Bartlett comes to the Roanoke Valley after serving as president of Abrazo Health Care in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer of Arrowhead Hospital in Glendale, Arizona, from 2001-2011.

"Jon has outstanding credentials as a hospital administrator and a health system leader," said Margaret Lewis and Denise P. King in a joint statement. "His experience translates perfectly to LewisGale and will allow us to continue our work in providing high-value, high-quality healthcare during a time of great change in the industry." Lewis is President of HCA's Richmond, VA.-based Capital Division and Senior Executive of HCA Virginia Health System. King is Chairman of LewisGale Medical Center's board of trustees.

Bartlett also has experience working in three HCA facilities: as chief operating officer at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colorado; as chief executive and chief financial officer at Columbine Psychiatric Center, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and as controller at Aurora Regional Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.

"I'm delighted to be rejoining HCA and excited about coming to the Roanoke Valley," said Bartlett.  "The LewisGale system has a well-deserved reputation for providing outstanding care, and I'm look forward to playing an important role not just in leading our health system, but also in being an integral part of the community."
