Virginia Tech Senior Chris Atkins was crowned this year's homecoming king, but he bestowed the honor to someone he says is more deserving, Nathan Orban.
The 7-year-old boy has fought leukemia since 2008 and has missed out on much of his childhood.
He comes from a large family of Hokie fans, so for his first ever Virginia Tech game he was crowned homecoming king, shook hands with the college president, sat with the corps of cadets and got a high five from quarterback Logan Thomas.
As Chris points out it was the student body who gave Nathan the opportunity.
"Our motto, ut prosim, that I may serve, and also inventing the future I feel like student body is always participating in the newest and greatest things and I think you can see a change in homecoming with this," Chris explained.
Chris wasted no time giving Nathan the crown which got a loud cheer from the fans.
