More than 500 attend candle light vigil remembering 3 lost lives

CRAIG COUNTY -

Friends and family come together to remember the lives of three young Craig County women who died after a crash nearly 24-hours ago.

"We were both 5'11, so we could share clothes," best friend Carly Whiting says about Carleigh Taylor.

Carly Whiting says she's missing her other half, who she's known since kinder garden. The two were best friends, sharing the same name, even the same height. Carleigh Taylor died tragically in a car accident Sunday night.

This community in Craig County isn't just mourning the loss of one, but three young women.

Tia Gardner, 19 and Megan Bradley, 18, are also being remember at a candle light vigil at New Castle Christian Church.

"Megan was like Carleigh. She was extremely outgoing, friends with everyone, and everyone just loved her. They were two peas in a pod," friend Caddice Stanley says.

"She's the most loving person I know," Whiting says. "No one could ever say anything bad about Tia. She's just amazing. She's an angel."

Elder Billy Lee from the church shows us pictures of just how many people came out to support the family and friends of all three girls. He says more than 500 filled the church.

"It's been particularly hard because in this community it's so close," Elder Billy Lee, New Castle Christian Church says. "Everyone in the community knows the kids. It's such a small community. One kid is everybody's kid."

Many remembering these three girls tonight say when something like this happens to one family in Craig County, it happens to all of them.
