NASCAR Testing days at Martinsville brought a couple of big names and big teams to the paperclip. Kansas winner Kevin Harvick was turning laps in his 29 car just two days after his win in the 4th race of the chase. Kurt Busch, currently 7th in the Chase, calls Martinsville his team's weak link despite having won there in his career. That win came in a Roush Racing car, and his 78 Furniture Row team is working to advance the program at NASCAR's longest tenured track. 21-year-old Kyle Larson was also working with his new team--the 42 team at Earnhardt Ganassi racing--as he prepares to race Cup full time next season. Larson will run both Charlotte and Martinsville in the 42 and he hopes to learn a lot before going to his full time ride next season. Larson says he just doesn't want to affect the Chase outcome in any way and he hopes to run well and keep out of the contenders way as they make their way around the tricky half mile track. Greg Biffle was also at the track as well as several truck teams in preparation for the upcoming race weekend on October 26-27. David Ragan from Front Row Motorsports was in Martinsville for the ten hour testing session Tuesday, along with Biffle's teammate Carl Edwards and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Along with Harvick, teammates from Richard Childress Racing Paul Menard and Jeff Burton were there. Penske Racing brought Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano. All the teams are returning Wednesday for second day of testing. Looking in on the 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Drivers is free of charge.
