Friend helps Forest girl battling cancer meet Taylor Swift

Posted: Updated:

A Forest girl battling cancer got the surprise of her life when she found out she would meet her idol face to face.

Cassidy Richardson has a cancerous tumor on her knee and for months has been restricted to walking on crutches.

16-year-old Megan Enneking is friends with Cassidy and knew the little girl's mother bought her tickets to see Taylor Swift in Charlottesville, so she came up with the idea to reach out to the pop star on social media to get Cassidy backstage and it worked.

"I think the first time I saw the picture I was still kind of in shock like oh my goodness this actually happened.  Looking at the picture I started crying, because it was just such an amazing thing," explained Enneking.

"I was like start struck.  I did not know what to do I was just like ‘wow'," Richardson said.

Cassidy got her picture taken with Taylor backstage and said the pop star told her she was pretty and that she liked her shoes.
