More than 500 people headed out to get dirty for a good cause, the second annual Mud Run put on by the Virginia Tech chapter of the FarmHouse Fraternity.
The event is held to raise awareness of blood cancers and raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
"We try to raise money for that cause," says the chapter's director of scholarship, Ryan Knights. "So we decided to have a Mud Run because it's about that hard journey and having a partner to really help you work through it."
The event is made up of an obstacle course where teams of two work to make it through.
