Two Moneta volunteer EMTs off duty help in Layman farm accident

Posted: Updated:

Two EMTs visiting Layman Family Farms in Montvale jumped in to make a difference for the three victims of the tractor accident this past Friday night.

It all happened near a small creek.

Wendy Helman helped a man who collapsed, while her husband, Brian helped the two teenage girls trapped under the tractor and wagon.

The farm's owner, Eric Layman says, he spoke with the father of one of the girls and he remembered exactly who Brian was.

"I talked to one of the girl's dad and he said he was her angel and remembered his name and said he wouldn't leave them," explained Layman.

Wednesday on WSLS 10 at 6 o'clock, you'll hear from Brian and Wendy Helman as they describe what happened Friday night.
