Lowe's employees volunteer their time to make a difference for our Veterans.

About 25 volunteers from the Roanoke Valley and Salem stores spent all day Tuesday building a deck alongside the pond at the VA Medical Center in Salem.

The project is party of the Lowe's Heroes initiative that allows employees to work on a project in their backyard.

Volunteers will be back out at the pond on Thursday to finish up the project.
