Maroons Eye Postseason, ODAC Soccer Title

Posted: Updated:

With 9 ODAC titles and 6 NCAA bids the Roanoke College soccer team has a long tradition of putting its best feet forward. Clearly two consecutive losses after a 9-1-1 start has the Maroons..seeing red.  Odds of an immediate response on the field are pretty solid--with new head coach Ryan Pflugrad back at his alma mater, after a decade long journey in the division I ranks--most recently at the University of Denver.

The squad's roster is nearly one third local talent.  Blacksburg, Hidden Valley, Patrick Henry, Lord Botetourt, Salem, Cave Spring and Christiansburg High Schools are all represented.  The Maroons could easily sport an all-region lineup from years gone by. With four games left in the regular season, the Maroons are looking to ramp up to the four letters which ultimately will matter most-N-C-A-A.
