It's going to be a busy day down at river's edge Saturday with the American Heart Association's heart walk and then The Go Outside festival.
Organizers were out all day Friday setting up for the walk that will make a difference about $1,500 people are expected to take part in the one, three or four mile walk.
Elizabeth Vail, Senior Director of Development says, one woman told her she's been at all 21 heart walks in Roanoke and recruited her friends to take part.
"She said I was so inspired I've started walking and she said I noticed this year you're walking four miles and she I have a group, I've been getting together on Sunday afternoons and we're practicing," Vail explained.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
