NC mom threw 6-month-old son against wall and hurt toddler daughter, police say

RALEIGH, NC -

A Willow Spring woman was charged with two counts of assault on a child after she reportedly threw her 6-month-old son against a wall.

Chantal Kihinga, 39, of Willow Spring, is charged with misdemeanor child abuse and two counts of assault on a child under 12. The offenses occurred Monday, according to a warrant for Kihinga's arrest.

According to the warrant, Kihinga purposefully threw 6-month-old Moses Muteberwa against a wall, causing facial bleeding on the child.

The warrant further says she assaulted 2-year-old Elisabath Muteberwa by "very tightly constricting the child's body."

Kihinga is being held on a $10,000 bond.
