ROANOKE, VA -

The Roanoke Area Youth Substance Abuse Coalition is celebration the Red Ribbon Week.

This year's theme is "A Healthy Me is Drug Free."

Red Ribbon Week is the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention program that reaches millions of people during this week every year.

 By wearing red ribbons and participating in community anti-drug events, young people, businesses and communities pledge to live a drug-free life and pay tribute to DEA Special Agent Enriqué "Kiki" Camarena.

 The week long campaign provides an opportunity to address alcohol, tobacco, other drug, and violence related issues in the community.
