New business opens in downtown Roanoke for pet owners

Posted: Updated:

A new business in downtown Roanoke is helping pet owners worry a little less.

'City Dogs' just opened in July on Salem Avenue and offers playcare and boarding for dogs.

The owner says she's trying to target the growing number of people living downtown.

She also says it gives pet-owners a chance to let their dogs be kennel-free for the day. City Dogs also has a large in-door play space, which will be helpful during the winter.

The 'Behind the Business Scenes' report is a partnership with Valley Business FRONT magazine. Click here to read more.

Hope Cogan, the owner of High Hopes Dog Training, can also help train your dog for living in the city.

'City Dogs' Prices:

Boarding: $28 per day (second dog half price if the dog stays in same run)

Playcare: $18 per day

Monday - Friday 7am-7pm

Saturday 9am-5pm

Sunday 10am-noon, 4-6pm
